Dr. Kristy Prouse MD began her academic career in 1988 at the University of Western Ontario where she completed a BA in Psychology, followed by a BSc in Genetics and Cell Biology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Prouse then earned her medical degree at Queen's University and completed her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training receiving the Laparoscopic Surgery Award of Excellence. As a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Prouse has practiced Obstetrics and Gynaecology for over a decade in the GTA.
Dr. Prouse has done additional training in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine through the University of Southern Florida - School of Medicine. A field of medicine and scientific research, antiaging medicine is aimed at the early detection, prevention, treatment and reversal of age-related decline. Regenerative medicine, meanwhile, aims to optimize the body's endogenous – or own internal – mechanisms of self-healing, while augmenting the process with proven exogenous – or external-to-the-body – treatments and technologies.
Dr. Prouse's path to this relatively new, specialized field began with an increasing appreciation of the impact that running a high-volume obstetrical practice was having on her own health and happiness. She concluded that western medicine had little to offer her circumstances, and set out to investigate various forms of complementary medicine, including naturopathic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and bioenergetic medicine.
Learning along the way, she began the process of healing herself and opening her mind to new possibilities. Gradually, Dr. Prouse discovered that her philosophy about life in general, and medicine in particular, had shifted. "I'm now living a more focused, centered and grounded life –with the keen awareness that we only have this moment."
In addition to running her busy practise, Dr. Prouse sits on the editorial review board for Integrated Healthcare Practitioners journal and is associate professor at the University of Toronto. Her passion for educating has led Dr. Prouse to develop an educational program to train other healthcare practitioners in hormonal health.

Alicia Wlodarski has been a Certified Nutritional Practitioner since 2013. Her passion for helping clients reach and maintain good health and vitality through holistic techniques has led her to learn and certify in BPR (Bio Physical Resonance). It was during her training that she gained a deeper knowledge of the importance of energetic balance of the body, mind and spirit. Alicia has a special interest in food sensitivities, allergic reactions, weight loss, hormonal health and helping her clients increase their energy levels.
Having grown up on the standard North American diet Alicia began to see negative effects on her body at a young age. After learning and applying the practices of Holistic Nutrition in daily life, she was amazed by the dramatic transformation of her energy levels and overall health. Alicia believes that no matter what age or state of health you are in, there is always room for improvement and she believes creating homeostasis within the body is one of the most important aspects in the journey towards optimal health.
Alicia’s goal is to empower and educate clients, so that they too can become familiar with listening to their bodies’ innate wisdom. The approach she takes with clients is Realistic Holistic Nutrition to fit their daily life - all programs are personalized to each individual case.
Alicia’s role at the Institute for Hormonal Health is to utilize Bio-Electric Acupressure (BEA) to complement and enhance the care of IHH patients. This technique involves non-invasive, pain-free stimulation of energetic pathways (known as meridians) that reintroduce energetic frequencies to the body in order to aid in re-establishing homeostasis.

I believe the body is a powerful healer! Each one of us has the innate ability within ourselves to heal, which can be nurtured through naturopathic medicine. As a Naturopathic Doctor, my goal is to support you along your path to optimal health. By empowering you to make positive changes in your health, medicine becomes simple.
My educational career started at the University of Guelph where I graduated with an Honours Biological Science degree. I have always had a passion for science and interacting with people and decided that a career in healthcare was my future. At this stage I took a year off to decide what facet of healthcare best suited my value system. The more research I did, it become clear that being a naturopath and practicing Naturopathic Medicine was the obvious choice for me, as it focused on patient-centred care. I then proceeded to undertake a 4 year degree in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, where I was extensively trained as a primary health care provider in the field of Naturopathic Medicine.
I look forward to working with you, and as your Naturopathic Doctor, I pledge to listen and work with you as an integral part of your health care team. My goal is to discover the underlying causes of your health issues and remove them when possible using safe and effective natural therapies. I am a physician who takes great pleasure in helping people like you you achieve wellness and optimal health using holistic therapies that are most compatible with your body. I hope that In addition to being your Naturopathic Doctor, I can become your teacher, counselor, detective, cheerleader and confidant.

Having overcome her own battles with food and body image, Kristen is passionate about helping others find their own freedom. She knows that far too many women live under a cloud of guilt and shame - counting calories, tracking macros, and then beating themselves up for “failing”.
Kristen believes that food and body freedom means:
~ Discovering what really fires you up (hint: it’s not the candy
bowl at work or a punishing sweat session at the gym).
~ Feeling your emotions, not suffocating them with food.
~ Getting off the diet, binge, loathe roller coaster and trusting that your body will take care of the rest.
But most of all, she believes that it’s about ending body shame and food guilt because we are so much more than what we do or do not eat.
Kristen fuels her passion by surrounding herself in the latest research on eating psychology and staying closely connected to other powerful voices in the industry. She shares her message on www.kristenmcdiarmid.com and is a regular guest blogger in the health and wellness sphere.
When she’s not busy coaching women or scripting her next blog post, Kristen can be found watching a good old 80’s movie with her husband and three children. She loves red wine and cottage country (preferably in tandem) and is a sucker for over-priced skin care.
