Dr. Kristy Prouse MD began her academic career in 1988 at the University of Western Ontario where she completed a BA in Psychology, followed by a BSc in Genetics and Cell Biology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Prouse then earned her medical degree at Queen’s University and completed her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training receiving the Laparoscopic Surgery Award of Excellence. As a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Prouse has practiced Obstetrics and Gynaecology for over a decade in the GTA.
Dr. Prouse has done additional training in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine through the University of Southern Florida – School of Medicine. A field of medicine and scientific research, antiaging medicine is aimed at the early detection, prevention, treatment and reversal of age-related decline. Regenerative medicine, meanwhile, aims to optimize the body’s endogenous – or own internal – mechanisms of self-healing, while augmenting the process with proven exogenous – or external-to-the-body – treatments and technologies.
Dr. Prouse’s path to this relatively new, specialized field began with an increasing appreciation of the impact that running a high-volume obstetrical practice was having on her own health and happiness. She concluded that western medicine had little to offer her circumstances, and set out to investigate various forms of complementary medicine, including naturopathic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and bioenergetic medicine.
Learning along the way, she began the process of healing herself and opening her mind to new possibilities. Gradually, Dr. Prouse discovered that her philosophy about life in general, and medicine in particular, had shifted. “I’m now living a more focused, centered and grounded life –with the keen awareness that we only have this moment.”
In addition to running her busy practise, Dr. Prouse sits on the editorial review board for Integrated Healthcare Practitioners journal and is associate professor at the University of Toronto. Her passion for educating has led Dr. Prouse to develop an educational program to train other healthcare practitioners in hormonal health.

It was Dr. Mohammed’s exposure to cancer centres in Canada including the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal where he first appreciated the significant impact that mind-spirit medicine can have on the outcomes of various ailments including cancer. It was with this understanding that he pursued the study of naturopathic medicine in Toronto where he also earned his Intravenous (IV) Infusion Therapy and Pharmaceutical Prescription licenses. Dr. Mohammed promotes a collaborative and integrative approach to patient care and because of his familiarity with both conventional and naturopathic approaches to oncology care he is in a unique position to bridge the gap between these two medical communities.

Since she was a child, Tammy Strome dreamed of being an educator and a healer. Her drive to succeed and love of fitness led her to the world of bodybuilding and fitness. She then went on to become a coach and foster the growth and success of many exceptional clients. Her pursuit in the world of athleticism and sports education earned her many credentials including a BA (Hons.) in Kinesiology with Sociology and Nutrition, as well as more than 7 different certifications including Health Coaching, Life Coaching, Nutrition, and Neurolinguistic Programming/Cognitive Reflexive Conditioning. Additionally, her athletic prowess in bodybuilding earned her top placings in all of her amateur shows. This culminated in a national win where she was awarded the Overall title of Canadian Champion and her International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) Pro Card.
Tammy’s desire to overcome and her drive to excel provided her great education and experience but it came at a heavy price that resulted in advanced stage Adrenal Fatigue and the development of an Autoimmune Disease. Her own healing journey ignited a deepening clarity and commitment to help clients reclaim their vitality and maximize their quality of life.
The key differentiator for Tammy’s programs lies in the meshing of her strong science background with her intuitive nature, as well as her advocacy for BLISS (body love, self-love, inner-connectedness, stress mastery, sustainability). Rather than segregate a goal based on end results, she instead investigates her clients’ individually. Her bold and inquisitive approach, coupled with her deep understanding of energy and mind/body alignment discards band-aid solutions, and provides an exceptional assessment and methodology unlike any other. Her approach breaks past the convention of “overwork”, and prevents regressive patterns to allow changes that are lasting and symbiotic in both mental and physical health.
Tammy helps busy women who have lost their balance in life. She coaches transitioning female competitors, workaholics with hormonal imbalances, women suffering from overwhelm, perfectionists in pursuit of their ideal bodies and women seeking authenticity, peace and freedom in their lives. A combination of self-realization, internal growth, realistic goals, a well-tuned schedule, and customized support and guidance helps her clients achieve their optimal selves, inside and out.
Avdeep Bahra, Occupational Therapist
Avdeep has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters in Occupational Therapy. She is trained in mindfulness, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), hypnosis and various other healing modalities.
Avdeep helps her clients work through self-confidence problems, feelings of loneliness, unworthiness, guilt or perfectionism, amongst other emotional issues.
Avdeep creates a safe and non-judgmental space where her clients can be heard and supported, and where healing can occur. Her calm and warm presence allows her clients to feel at ease.
Through her personal journey and in working with clients, she has seen that as we give of ourselves to others – whether as a parent, partner, friend, or employee – we become overwhelmed and exhausted. Layer on top of that the inability to ask for help, feel emotions and put self-care needs first, we become physically, energetically and spiritually depleted.
From this place of understanding, she enables her clients to release limiting thoughts, feelings and beliefs and in turn, make positive shifts in their lives. She guides her clients to practice self-care and self-compassion, and to reconnect with their spirit. She is truly passionate about helping her clients find a deeper, spiritual level in their healing journey.
Avdeep is always excited to share that the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy (CAOT) views one’s spirit as the core of who we are. In fact, the CAOT defines spirit as the “energy or life force that permeates all living things”.
Avdeep currently offers one-on-one appointments (in person or via Skype) and weekly mindfulness and meditation classes to her clients.

Having overcome her own battles with food and body image, Kristen is passionate about helping others find their own freedom. She knows that far too many women live under a cloud of guilt and shame – counting calories, tracking macros, and then beating themselves up for “failing”.
Kristen believes that food and body freedom means:
~ Discovering what really fires you up (hint: it’s not the candy bowl at work or a punishing sweat session at the gym).
~ Feeling your emotions, not suffocating them with food.
~ Getting off the diet-binge-loathe roller coaster and trusting that your body will take care of the rest.
But most of all, she believes that it’s about ending body shame and food guilt because we are so much more than what we do or do not eat.
Kristen fuels her passion by surrounding herself in the latest research on eating psychology and staying closely connected to other powerful voices in the industry. She shares her message on www.kristenmcdiarmid.com and is a regular guest blogger in the health and wellness sphere.
When she’s not busy coaching women or scripting her next blog post, Kristen can be found watching a good old 80’s movie with her husband and three children. She loves red wine and cottage country (preferably in tandem) and is a sucker for over-priced skin care.
