Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy

Liberating pelvic rehabilitation.

Pelvic Health is rooted in traditional physiotherapy, with special attention paid to the structure and function of the pelvic floor muscles in conjunction with surrounding connective tissues – the core, low back, diaphragm, and hips.

At IHH, your Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist can treat a variety of conditions that cause pelvic floor dysfunction. These include urinary urge and stress incontinence, fecal incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, prolapse, vaginismus, vulvodynia, pain with intercourse, as well as the symptoms and conditions of pre-, ante-, and post-natal patients.

Patients of IHH’s Urogenital Health Division will receive a pelvic floor assessment from Dr. Kristy Prouse MD, FRCSC (Ob/Gyn) and Nav Grewal, MSc. PT, BSc., a Registered Physiotherapist specializing in pelvic disorders.

Nav takes great care in treating each client’s concerns with an evidence-based plan, including manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and patient education. She combines these approaches with her client’s individual goals to improve their quality of life and return them to health.
