Weight Management Issues

Weight management issues, not surprisingly, have multiple potential contributing factors.

A hormonal imbalance can be an underlying cause alongside poor dietary and exercise habits, gastrointestinal issues, Candida overgrowth, environmental toxins, food sensitivities, amino acid deficiencies, epigenetics and/or emotional and psychological reasons. It’s important when addressing weight that we expose all of the possible contributing factors to get to the root causes of the issue.

Contributing hormones to weight issues can be thyroid, cortisol imbalance, or an imbalance between estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. When addressed, these hormones can have significant impact on weight. In addition, the field of epigenetics has allowed us to now understand the genes that are responsible for fat burning, fat storage, muscle building, satiety, and also what we reach for when we’re hungry. This has led to the development of treatments that revert genetic expression back to a more youthful state when all these genes were expressing themselves more optimally.
