Leaders in hormonal health medicine

  • Dr. Kristy Prouse MD began her academic career in 1988 at the University of Western Ontario where she completed a BA in Psychology, followed by a BSc in Genetics and Cell Biology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Prouse then earned her medical degree at Queen’s University and completed her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training receiving the Laparoscopic Surgery Award of Excellence. As a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Prouse has practiced Obstetrics and Gynaecology for over a decade in the GTA.

Dr. Prouse has done additional training in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine through the University of Southern Florida – School of Medicine. A field of medicine and scientific research, antiaging medicine is aimed at the early detection, prevention, treatment and reversal of age-related decline. Regenerative medicine, meanwhile, aims to optimize the body’s endogenous – or own internal – mechanisms of self-healing, while augmenting the process with proven exogenous – or external-to-the-body – treatments and technologies.

Dr. Prouse’s path to this relatively new, specialized field began with an increasing appreciation of the impact that running a high-volume obstetrical practice was having on her own health and happiness. She concluded that western medicine had little to offer her circumstances, and set out to investigate various forms of complementary medicine, including naturopathic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and bioenergetic medicine.

Learning along the way, she began the process of healing herself and opening her mind to new possibilities. Gradually, Dr. Prouse discovered that her philosophy about life in general, and medicine in particular, had shifted. “I’m now living a more focused, centered and grounded life –with the keen awareness that we only have this moment.”

In addition to running her busy practise, Dr. Prouse sits on the editorial review board for Integrated Healthcare Practitioners journal and is associate professor at the University of Toronto. Her passion for educating has led Dr. Prouse to develop an educational program to train other healthcare practitioners in hormonal health.

  • Dr. Hui brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our practice, having completed her Medical Degree and Family Medicine Residency at McMaster University. With over a decade of experience in Emergency Medicine in the GTA, Dr. Hui's solid clinical skills serve as a strong foundation for her integrative approach to health and wellness.

Driven by her passion for optimal health and wellness, Dr. Hui has pursued additional training and certification in Emergency Medicine, as well as through the Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine. Her dedication to continuous learning and hands-on experience alongside experts in Integrative Medicine underscores her commitment to providing personalized care tailored to your unique needs.

Dr. Hui's clinical interests lie in hormonal health and longevity, and she possesses an extensive knowledge base spanning various areas of wellness, including bioenergetics, cardiovascular health, metabolic health, gut health, immune health, and brain health. Through evidence-based medicine and personalized lifestyle interventions, Dr. Hui empowers individuals to reclaim vitality, optimize hormone balance, and achieve lasting wellness.

  • Since she was a child, Tammy Strome dreamed of being an educator and a healer. Her drive to succeed and love of fitness led her to the world of bodybuilding and fitness. She then went on to become a coach and foster the growth and success of many exceptional clients. Her pursuit in the world of athleticism and sports education earned her many credentials including a BA (Hons.) in Kinesiology with Sociology and Nutrition, as well as more than 7 different certifications including Health Coaching, Life Coaching, Nutrition, and Neurolinguistic Programming/Cognitive Reflexive Conditioning. Additionally, her athletic prowess in bodybuilding earned her top placings in all of her amateur shows. This culminated in a national win where she was awarded the Overall title of Canadian Champion and her International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) Pro Card.

Tammy’s desire to overcome and her drive to excel provided her great education and experience but it came at a heavy price that resulted in advanced stage Adrenal Fatigue and the development of an Autoimmune Disease. Her own healing journey ignited a deepening clarity and commitment to help clients reclaim their vitality and maximize their quality of life.

The key differentiator for Tammy’s programs lies in the meshing of her strong science background with her intuitive nature, as well as her advocacy for BLISS (body love, self-love, inner-connectedness, stress mastery, sustainability). Rather than segregate a goal based on end results, she instead investigates her clients’ individually. Her bold and inquisitive approach, coupled with her deep understanding of energy and mind/body alignment discards band-aid solutions, and provides an exceptional assessment and methodology unlike any other. Her approach breaks past the convention of “overwork”, and prevents regressive patterns to allow changes that are lasting and symbiotic in both mental and physical health.

Tammy helps busy women who have lost their balance in life. She coaches transitioning female competitors, workaholics with hormonal imbalances, women suffering from overwhelm, perfectionists in pursuit of their ideal bodies and women seeking authenticity, peace and freedom in their lives. A combination of self-realization, internal growth, realistic goals, a well-tuned schedule, and customized support and guidance helps her clients achieve their optimal selves, inside and out.
